Dear Parents:
There has been a significant rise in the incidence of head lice both nationally and here in Broward County.
About 10 million Americans get head lice each year. Anyone can get head
Most parents have the impression that only persons who are unclean become infected with head lice. This is not true.  Lice infestations are a common problem affecting children of everysocial status in every part of the country.
School Board Policy 5012, states that all students with an infestation or contagious disease must be excluded from school.

If you would like to eat breakfast or lunch with your child, the schedule is posted on the school calendar.  If you would like a full listing of the days you may visit for breakfast or lunch, please click here.

Please review the dates, as the schedule is very different from last year.  Parents may not have breakfast or lunch on days not assigned.

Please remember that our mandatory unified dress code is in effect.  

Uniform polo shirts may only be red, white or navy blue. 

No other colors are acceptable

Uniform bottoms may only be navy blue or khaki official uniform bottoms. 
Denim is not acceptable.

Breakfast is available at no charge for all students
every school day. 

Breakfast begins at 7:45 and ends at 8:20 am

Only students that are eating breakfast will be admitted to the cafeteria from 7:45 am to 8:00 am.
Other K & 1 students will be admitted at 8:00 am to wait for their teacher



Campus does not open until 8:00AM.
Students should not be on campus prior to 8:00AM as there is no supervision prior to that time. Parents with children enrolled in the Sunshine before care program or our tutoring program are the only students that may be dropped off prior to 8:00AM.

Breakfast is served from 8:00-8:15 am.
If your child is not eating breakfast, they do not need to be at school until 8:20 am.

Tip Line

Report Anonymously

If you need to report something you can do so ANONYMOUSLY! No one will ever be able to know where the report came from. We need you to help keep our schools and our children safe, so if there is something going on that needs to be reported please do so!

The text messaging service, TipSoft, allows a response by text message to the originating cell phone without ever knowing the identity of the individual who left the tip. The user’s information is always given an alias and a unique ID before being sent. This secure application allows the tipster and the investigator to have two-way dialog while always keeping the user’s identity completely anonymous.

The School Board of Broward County encourages students to report information about any non-urgent illegal activity, such as vandalism, theft, the sale and distribution of drugs or information about crimes that are being planned.
